Job description

The main responsibility of the role is to monitor and optimise sales performance. This includes analysing sales data, ensuring stock presence and availability, and implementing sales strategies and marketing activities in the territory. He ensures that company objectives are met and sales targets are achieved.


Your tasks include:

  • Ensure that sales targets are met or exceeded in the assigned territory.
  • Oversee marketing campaigns and support product launches through placement and promotional activities.
  • Participate in the coordination of promotional activities.
  • Ensure that products are available in sufficient quantity and optimised placement in stores.
  • Visiting stores on a regular basis to ensure compliance with merchandising guidelines.
  • Negotiate local advertising space in stores to increase visibility of products.
  • Organise and deliver training to store sales staff to improve product knowledge and presentation.
  • Negotiate and build relationships with store managers to secure special placements and share feedback to drive continuous improvement.
  • Ensure that all company policies and guidelines are implemented in the territory.
  • Monitor and analyse competitive activity to suggest adjustments to sales strategies.
  • Report regularly to relevant line managers on sales performance, market conditions and actions taken.

Job requirements

  • Completed commercial training or a degree in business administration, marketing or a comparable qualification.
  • Several years' experience in sales, ideally in the consumer goods or electricals sector.
  • Field sales experience with customer support and analysis of sales data to make recommendations and optimise sales performance.
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills to build relationships with store managers and secure favourable placement terms.
  • Ability to work independently, identify problems early and proactively develop solutions.
  • Ability to adapt quickly to changing market conditions and requirements.
  • Determination and persuasiveness to achieve company objectives in the marketplace.
  • Effective time management and prioritisation of tasks to meet the multiple demands of the territory.
  • Understanding of digital marketing strategies and e-commerce in order to integrate them into the sales strategy where appropriate.
  • High level of willingness to travel in order to regularly visit and be present in the markets of the assigned territory.
  • Very good written and spoken German and English; other languages an advantage.
